Eligibility Criteria: German undergraduate students in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering interested in gaining practical research experience in medical imaging, image analysis, and computer aided disease diagnosis.

About us:

The Medical Image Analysis team at School of Medical Science and Technology, IIT Kharagpur, is carrying out the multidisciplinary work towards development of a computer vision theoretic approach to mimic the radiological and pathological decision making process in disease diagnosis to aid in speedy and accurate assessment of disease conditions by medical professionals, through quantitative analysis of medical images. We welcome highly motivated young people with an outlook towards result oriented research activities and interested in understanding recent trends in "Computer Vision and Pattern Analysis in Medicine".

Job Assignment:

The aim of this project is "Development of a Computer Vision Theoretic Approach for Interpretation of Sonomammography, especially with respect to identification of breast lesions suspected of malignant potentiality" The selected intern is expected to work with the team assisting with "functional testing of algorithms (software implementation using Matlab/C/C++)" for "formulation of image analytics library for feature extraction in sonomammographic images".
